Google Chrome Security Update Advisory

Google has released a security update that addresses several vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser. This update applies to versions of Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36/.37 On Windows and Mac, and versions prior to 153.0.8010.36 On Linux.

• A medium-severity observable inconsistency vulnerability in the Autofill feature (CVE-2026-87478).
• A medium-severity memory deallocation and reuse vulnerability in the Core feature (CVE-2026-87504).
• A medium-severity incomplete cleanup vulnerability in the Extensions feature (CVE-2026-87446).
• A low-severity user interface display error vulnerability in the Fullscreen feature (CVE-2026-87653).
• High-severity double free vulnerability in the PDFium feature (CVE-2026-87585).
• Low-severity incorrect privilege assignment vulnerability in the Sources feature (CVE-2026-87629).
• A medium-severity out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the V8 feature (CVE-2026-87491).
• A medium-severity memory free-and-use vulnerability in the V8 feature (CVE-2026-87657).
• Critical-rated memory deallocation and reuse vulnerability in the WebGL feature (CVE-2026-87464).
• Moderate-rated out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the WebView feature (CVE-2026-87640).

Among these, CVE-2026-87491 has been confirmed to have been exploited in actual attacks. Therefore, users running this version must update to the latest version released on September 8, 2026.
