Overview

Google has released an update addressing several vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser. This update applies to Linux systems running Chrome versions prior to 151.0.7922.173, As well as Windows and Mac systems running Chrome versions prior to 151.0.7922.173 And 151.0.7922.174.

Resolved Vulnerabilities

  • CVE-2026-76017, a severe-rated UAF (use-after-free) vulnerability in the Chromoting feature.
  • CVE-2026-76021, a high-rated UAF vulnerability in the DOM feature.
  • CVE-2026-76018, a high-severity privilege escalation vulnerability in the Import feature.
  • CVE-2026-76023, a high-severity improper resource control vulnerability in the Linux toolkit theming feature.
  • CVE-2026-76022, a high-severity buffer overflow vulnerability in the Network feature.
  • CVE-2026-76020, a high-severity race condition vulnerability in the V8 feature.
  • CVE-2026-76019, a high-severity incorrect authorization vulnerability in the Workers feature.

Vulnerability Patch Information

The Vulnerability Patch was released via the August 20, 2026, update. The patched versions are Chrome 151.0.7922.173/.174 And later for Windows and Mac, and Chrome 151.0.7922.173 And later for Linux.
