Google Chrome Browser (151.0.7922.169/.170) Security Update Advisory

Google has released an update to address vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser. The update applies to versions of Chrome on Linux prior to 151.0.7922.169, And versions on Windows and Mac prior to 151.0.7922.169 And 151.0.7922.170.

The vulnerabilities resolved are as follows:

• A high-severity buffer overflow vulnerability in the Angle feature (CVE-2026-76046).
• A high-severity “use-after-free” (UAF) vulnerability in the Browser component (CVE-2026-76040).
• A high-severity incorrect reference resolution vulnerability in the Core component (CVE-2026-76039).
• A high-severity security validation flaw in the CORS module (CVE-2026-76033).
• A high-severity link-following vulnerability in the CredentialProvider module (CVE-2026-76037).
• A severe buffer overflow vulnerability in the Dawn feature (CVE-2026-76036).
• High-severity vulnerability in the GPU feature involving the use of uninitialized resources (CVE-2026-76042).
• High-severity vulnerability in the Media feature involving insufficient security validation (CVE-2026-76035).
• A high-severity information disclosure vulnerability in the Skia feature (CVE-2026-76041).
• A high-severity race condition vulnerability in the USB feature (CVE-2026-76044).
• High-severity incorrect calculation vulnerability in the V8 feature (CVE-2026-76043).
• High-severity type confusion vulnerability in the V8 feature (CVE-2026-76047 and 1 other).
• A severe buffer overflow vulnerability in the WebGL feature (CVE-2026-76034).
• A high-severity “use-after-free” (UAF) vulnerability in the WebGL feature (CVE-2026-76045).

Vulnerability Patches were released via the August 18, 2026, update. Users must update to the latest version, Chrome 151.0.7922.169/.170 Or later.
