Google Chrome Browser (151.0.7922.108/.109) Security Update Recommendation

On August 6, 2026, Google released an update to address vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser.

• Affected products include versions of Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.108 (Linux) and versions prior to 151.0.7922.108/.109 (Windows, Mac).
• This update addresses multiple vulnerabilities in ANGLE, Aura, Base, Codecs, Contextual Tasks, CrashReporting, CredentialProvider, Extensions, GPU, HTML, Media, Navigation, Payments, Resources, Skia, Translate, UI, V8, Views, Web Authentication, WebAPKs, WebGL, Workers.
• The vulnerability types include out-of-bounds writes, use-after-free (UAF), heap buffer overflows, insufficient validation of untrusted input, race conditions, use of uninitialized values, improper implementation, and integer overflows.
• Critical-rated vulnerabilities include an out-of-bounds write in ANGLE (CVE-2026-19157), a use-after-free in Aura (CVE-2026-19149), memory reuse after deallocation in Skia (CVE-2026-19154), memory reuse after deallocation in Views (CVE-2026-19172), and WebGL’s memory deallocation and reuse (CVE-2026-19137, CVE-2026-19170).
• There are also numerous “High” severity vulnerabilities, and memory safety issues and insufficient input validation were widely identified across various features.
• The patched versions are Chrome 151.0.7922.108/.109 And later for Windows and Mac, and Chrome 151.0.7922.108 And later for Linux.
